Smith and Jones Outpost was founded on a simple premise: the energy brokerage industry generates enormous margins, and almost none of it flows back to the people who served this country. We set out to change that.
Our founders — veterans themselves — watched colleagues return from service to find no housing, no employment pipeline, and no safety net. The system that sent them overseas had no plan to bring them home. We built one.
Every barrel of Jet A1, JP-8, diesel, and specialty fuel we broker carries a commission. A direct percentage of that commission funds veteran housing acquisition, transitional employment programs, and long-term job placement. The deal closes. The mission advances.
The Commission Model
We operate as a pure brokerage — no inventory, no storage, no overhead. Our value is the match: connecting verified sellers with qualified buyers and facilitating the close.
Broker the Deal
We source, vet, and match buyers and sellers of bulk fuel. Our brokers manage the introduction, documentation review, and deal facilitation from LOI through close.
Collect Commission
A standard brokerage commission is collected on each successfully closed transaction. No deal, no fee. Our incentives are fully aligned with yours.
Fund the Mission
A direct percentage of every commission is allocated to our veteran housing and employment fund — no middlemen, no overhead skimming, no charity theater.
Housing & Jobs for Homeless Veterans
The United States has over 35,000 homeless veterans on any given night. These are men and women who served with distinction and returned to a country unprepared to receive them. Smith and Jones Outpost exists to close that gap — one transaction at a time.
Our housing initiative acquires and rehabilitates properties in underserved markets, converting them into transitional and permanent housing for veterans in need. Our employment program partners with trade contractors, logistics companies, and energy sector employers to create direct-hire pipelines for veterans entering or re-entering the workforce.
This is not a side project. It is the reason we exist.
